PLAYGROUND PROJECTS IN NEW YORK

The following are some of our recent playground projects in New York:

  • Aunt Bessie’s Open Door, Peekskill, NY We installed a new playground set, the TR-0001S, and synthetic turf for this daycare in Peekskill, NY. We had to remove and dispose of the existing playground and surfacing. We then prepared the site for the new play events and surfacing. See pictures here
  • Discovering Me Daycare, Larchmont,NY The Trassig install team completed a synthetic turf project in Larchmont, NY. The daycare had an existing outdoor carpet and independent events. The team moved the playground equipment to install 1″ padding and synthetic turf over the existing surface. This grade of synthetic turf is toddler-friendly and cushions falls- it is perfect for a daycare! See pictures here
  • Little Years Daycare, Hawthorne, NY We completed a great project in Hawthorne, NY where we removed the existing playground structure and installed a modified TR-0013 with integrated shade, a numbers panel, a bedrock climber, a double slide and a wavy slide.  We also installed a frog spring rider and a sail spring rider, two interesting independent play events that went perfectly with the color scheme. For surfacing, we installed synthetic turf. Finally, we installed benches around the playground so parents and teachers can supervise playground activity. See pictures here
  • Samuel Field Y, Little Neck, NY We built two commercial playgrounds and some independent events, including outdoor musical instruments!  We also installed a poured in place rubber surface. See pictures here
  • New Covenant Church, Bronx, NY. The school had a poured in place surface that needed repair. They also wanted to expand the area. We patched the old space, installed new poured in place and top coated the old area to extend its life. See pictures here
  • Madison Ave. Church, Manhattan, NY. The school had a playground on the top floor with old poured in place rubber that was breaking down. We opted for a playground liquid rubber treatment. This gave the surface a brand new look and extended its shelf-life. See pictures here
  • The Carver Center, NY. The center gave its playground a face lift by replacing the old structures with new ones that were safer and up to code. We installed two composite playsets for ages 2-5 and 5-12. We surfaced the use zones with synthetic turf. See pictures here
  • Westchester Community Opportunity Program WESTCOP operates over 20 centers. Over the years, we have inspected, maintained and built new playgrounds with safety surfacing for them. As a non-profit organization with a limited budget, they have often turned to us for the best value in playground construction, maintenance and repairs. See pictures here
  • Pleasantville Children Center, Bedford, NY. We installed a composite set, a sand box, a merry go cycle and a couple of spring riders for this school. For safety surfacing we installed poured in place rubber. See pictures here
  • Little Runners Daycare, Brooklyn, NY. The team installed the TR-0003GS. We modified the set to the client’s specifications by replacing the integrated shade with a scale roof, raising the deck height, and replacing the bedrock climber with a tic-tac-toe panel. See pictures here
  • Grace Lutheran Church, Scarsdale, NY. In this project we repaired damaged poured in place surfacing and added more poured in place to the area freshening the look. See pictures here

We have installed the TR-0004S with poured in place surfacing, a composite playset for ages 2-5 and a modified TR-0034S for toddlers. We have also replaced an existing play set with a modified TR-0008 with monkey bars for the 2-12 age group.  See pictures here

  • Lois Bronz Children Center, White Plains, NY.  This day care had some damaged poured in place rubber surfacing. Rather than resurfacing the entire area, we patched the damaged areas with shapes to make the work look intentional. We also installed synthetic turf surfacing and liquid rubber. See pictures here
  • Milestone School, Mount Vernon, NY  We installed synthetic turf and a layer of padding for impact attenuation on this school’s rooftop. Our synthetic turf is a great surfacing option as we use sand infill, as opposed to rubber, and it looks very natural. See pictures here

  • Care4me, Beacon, NY. For this playground we installed new poured in place rubber, a composite play ground with a double slide, multiple outdoor independent and social play activities, talk tubes, a composite set for toddlers, and a hip shade to keep the area cool. See pictures here
